Parsha Reflections: Parshat Nasso

This week’s parsha, Nasso, contains one of the oldest blessings in the Torah – Birkat Kohanim – wishing protection, grace, and peace.

The final word of the blessing is shalom—often translated as “peace.” But in Hebrew, shalom also carries meanings of wholeness, completeness, and wellbeing. True shalom isn’t just about quiet; it’s about feeling fully at home in yourself and in the world around you.

Blessings don’t have to come from a single source. They can come from chosen family, from community, from the people who see you exactly as you are, from yourself.
