Parsha Reflections: Parshat Korach

As we near the end of Pride Month, we reflect on what Pride means, how we show up proudly, and what it looks like to be resilient in the face of those who do not understand us.

We know a lot is happening in the world right now, and that can feel heavy. But we are bright, brave, and strong. Our joy, especially in moments like these, is a radical act of defiance.

Nearly 300 LGBTQ Jews and allies will march with us at the New York Pride Parade this Sunday. When we dance through the streets, loudly proclaiming that we are Jewish, we are queer, and we are proud, we are telling the world that we will claim the space we need – with or without their permission.

Pride is an opportunity to celebrate identity – both individually and together. We are so proud to be part of this community with you. We are blessed to have you in the JQY family.
