Microgrants and Mentoring

Do you have a great idea for an event but need a little help making it come to life? JQY is here for you. With our microgrant request form, you can tell us all about your Queer Shabbat, your pride picnic, or your Yentl rewatch party (again?!) and what help you need making it happen. Our programming team is available to help brainstorm ideas and mentor you through the process if you need guidance.

JQY has supported events with Hillels, shuls, and community groups across the country to create joyous, queer events led by community members.

Everyone had a really nice time and there were lots of conversations and bonding between multiple generations of YU students

Everyone successfully learned how to crochet and we had lots of fun:)

We got the turnout we were going for, and people had a great time.

People came by and chatted; we had a nice, safe space.

The picnic was a successful and fun way to lead up to NYC Pride.

I just wanted to thank you for fostering this and for building such a wonderful community.

In addition to the actual showing, we hosted a party that spanned the whole theater since they were kind enough to give us that... We were able to give back to the cast and crew and celebrate them, and since many of them weren't paid for their great work, this is a way of giving back. You have literally been the absolute best and most supportive. This would not be possible without you.
