DESCRIPTION:Join JQY and Eshel for a 20s and 30s night of queer Talmud in Brooklyn with Rabbi Hayley Goldstein. \nCome and find out what SVARA-style Queer Talmud is all about! In one evening\, we will create a learning community that is not only queer-dominant and queer-positive\, but also with a lens towards the radical\, queer nature of the Jewish tradition\, and the cultivation of Talmud study as a spiritual practice. \nRabbi Hayley Goldstein (she/her) received her smicha from the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College in Newton\, MA\, and is a graduate of the SVARA Teaching Kollel. She is fiercely dedicated to creating spiritual and educational environments that are empowering\, inclusive\, and allow room for play. She is currently serving as the Associate Rabbi of Park Slope Jewish Center in Brooklyn\, NY. \nSnacks will be provided.
